Procurement of Materials and Technical Services

The Materials and Technical Services unit maintains and develops the government’s agreements within material and facility services, vehicle and transport services, and office and energy supply services.

A large proportion of the government’s ordinary purchases related to material and technical services are carried out through the unit’s framework agreements. In addition to actual products, an increasing number of contracts relate to services. The aim is to build comprehensive service solutions out of these agreements.

These agreements take account of environmental factors as part of sustainable development. Hansel monitors the development of industry and the market from this perspective, in order to offer its customers an increasingly comprehensive selection of products and services that pay due attention to environmental matters.

In 2009, purchases were made through the Materials and Technical Services Procurement unit totalling around EUR 193 million.
