Environmental responsibility and climate targets
We set requirements for procurements to mitigate climate change and promote energy efficiency and the circular economy
Our goal is to systematically steer joint procurements towards low-emission, energy-efficient solutions that promote the circular economy. We strengthen the use of environmental criteria, develop procurement processes and requirements and offer ready-made sustainable alternatives for competitive tendering.
We improve the quality of emissions data and use supplier guidance to measure and reduce the environmental impacts of procurements more efficiently. We ensure that, in particular, the procurement of food, meal services, vehicles and transport services as well as the ICT equipment, data centre and server procurements meet the ambitious ecological goals set in the Government's resolution.
We reduce the harmful environmental impacts of our operations
Our goal is to reduce the environmental impact of Hansel’s own operations by taking ambitious climate targets into account in the procurements and use of tools as well as in our operating methods.
We promote energy efficiency and resource efficiency by, for example, extending the service life of equipment, optimising the use of digital tools and specifying the life cycle requirements of procurements.
In addition, we steer everyone towards making low-emission choices by updating our travel, vehicle and event practices and ensuring that the energy used in our premises is completely fossil-free.
